Subsite Header and Navigation Tab

About

Subsite Header and Navigation controls the menu for the subsite for each page.  On a finished page, this is where this affects the site.

Clicking on an item in the navigation tab will expand it to show submenus when you are on a page that has any submenus from the base of your subsite. This is shown in the image below. Note: You can not edit the academics submenu.

First Steps

Begin by logging in by visiting engineering.case.edu/user and clicking "Login". Then, go to your subsites page. You should see an edit button near the top of the page. Click that.

Then, if you are not already in the Header and Navigation tab, click that.

Title

This is the title of the subsite which will be displayed on the homepage of the subsite

Sub-Head

This is the Sub-Head which will be displayed underneath the title of the subsite. Switch the text format to "Filtered HTML" as it is the easiest for most people to use. Visit this page to see how to use this editor

Navigation

The Navigation Title will be shown at the top of the Navigation menu.

Under the Navigation section, add menu items to show up on the navigation bar. You can rearrange the order of the menu items by dragging along the arrows on the left of their titles.

The menu item title is the title of the menu item.

You can choose to link to an internal subsite page, which is selected from the subsite pages associated with the subsite, or you can link to an external site, which prompts for a normal URL.

Under "Sub Menu", you can add items to make the menu expand when clicked on.

If you instead choose to make an external link, clicking on the menu item will redirect to a non-case website.

Primary Grid

Here you can choose how many grid items you wish to display on the subsite homepage.

This image is an example of a grid with three items.

You can add more grid items through the Primary Grid section. Visit this page to see documentation on adding grid items.
