Electrochemical Society awards research prize to Rohan Akolkar for ‘enabling breakthrough advances in electrodeposition science and its industrial practice.
The Breakthrough Electrolytes for Energy Storage (BEES) Energy Frontier Research Center (EFRC) held their third annual All Hands Meeting on March 4, 2021.
Dr. Craig Henderson, from the Department of Energy (DOE) Basic Energy Sciences and DOE Program Manager for the BEES EFRC, visited the center virtually on January 28, 2021.
Dr. Joan Brenneke, a Professor from the University of Texas at Austin, presented to the BEES EFRC on “Ion Dissociation in Ionic Liquids and Ionic Liquid Solutions”.
Dr. Rangachary (Mukund) Mukundan, a lead researcher at the Los Alamos National Laboratory and a representative on the BEES EFRC Scientific Advisory Board presented on the state of research on fuel cells.
The BEES EFRC Student Research Organization (SRO) welcomed Dr. Robert Savinell, Director of the BEES EFRC, as the kick-off speaker for the BEES Fall Seminar Series.
Congratulations to Dr. Edward Maginn, BEES Key Researcher from the University of Notre Dame, for being appointed to senior editor at The Journal of Physical Chemistry C.
Sara Hamilton, a graduate student at Columbia University and a member of the BEES Student Research Organization, has been selected to be a Lead Teaching Fellow for the 2020-2021 academic year.
