ClotChip receives new funding for COVID-19 research

ClotChip, a point-of-care device that uses technology conceived nearly 10 years ago by Case School of Engineering researchers, received a total of $90,000 in funding from University Hospitals Research & Education Institute's COVID-19 Rapid Response Pilot Project and from the Clinical and Translational Science Collaborative at the School of Medicine. The project will be led by Lalitha Nayak MD, Division of Hematology and Oncology in the Department of Medicine at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center and assistant professor in the Case School of Medicine; Pedram Mohseni, Goodrich Professor of Engineering Innovation, and Michael Suster, a senior research associate, will serve as co-investigators.
