Artificial intelligence tool for reading MRI scans could transform prostate cancer surgery and treatment

CCIPD researchers have preliminarily validated the AI tool “RadClip” which reads MRI scans and helps the clinician “to evaluate the aggressiveness of the cancer and the response to treatment so they don’t overtreat or undertreat the patient”, says Lin Li, a doctoral student and member of the CCIPD team. Li was the first author of the study that evaluated the tool, which was published in The Lancet’s EBioMedicine journal.
