Lead laser diagnostics and combustion code validation task, supported by the Transformational Tools Technologies (TTT) Project in NASA Transformative Aeronautics Concepts Program with a multidisciplinary team with scientists, engineers, and technicians in the High-Pressure Flame Diagnostics facility at NASA GRC. Conduct high-pressure combustion testing on advanced low-emission flame-tube with various types of fuel injectors and hydrogen/hydrocarbon fuels. Perform diagnostic experiments—spectroscopy and emissions/particulates sampling—for computer fluid dynamics (CFD) code validations. Developing process Raman probe, which is designed to operate in a harsh environment (pressure >250 atm; temperature <1,000 F). Innovate a high-speed laser Raman spectroscopy for the first time to ethanol hydrothermal flame, or known as supercritical water oxidation (SCWO).
