Case Western Reserve, Cleveland State and Mercyhurst Universities Form Cyber Research and Training Alliance

From the Cleveland.com Metro news - Case Western Reserve, Cleveland State and Mercyhurst universities have formed the North Coast Cyber Research and Training Alliance to develop cybersecurity education, research and training programs in western Pennsylvania and Northeast Ohio.

While each institution maintains nationally recognized programs in cybersecurity, the schools said in a joint statement that the agreement will leverage the combination of strengths of the three:

"The alliance opens the door to a variety of intriguing projects and new funding opportunities that will enable students to confront authentic problems across the full range of cyber disciplines,"  Caleb Pifer, vice president for external relations and advancement at Mercyhurst, said in the news release.
