The 231st Electrochemical Society (ECS) Meeting was held in New Orleans, LA on May 28 to June 1, 2017. Among the attendees were our own Xinyu (Sherry) Liu, Jacob Blickensderfer, Kailash Venkatraman and Professor Rohan Akolkar. Sherry gave a talk on the mechanism of hydrogen evolution during electroless nickel-phosphorus deposition and Jacob presented on the role of substrate activation during electroless iron-phosphorus deposition. Professor Akolkar was invited to present on the electrochemical atomic layer deposition process Kailash has helped develop.
