Ram Krishna Mazumder wins ASCE-UESI Student Scholarship

Ram Krishna Mazumder, a PhD candidate, received the a scholarship from Utility Engineering & Surveying Institute (UESI) of ASCE. The scholarship is given to the outstanding students in utility engineering to support them for attending ASCE-UESI pipelines conference.  Ram's dissertation research is supported with a $2.5 million NSF funded research project entitled ‘CRISP Type 2: Collaborative Research: Multi-Agent Sustainable Water Decision Theory: Nexus of Water, Road, and Hierarchic Social Contractual Systems’.    Prof. Xiong (Bill) Yu is the PI and Prof. Yue Li is a Co-PI involving collaborations with Washington State U, Penn State, and Montana State U.  With the scholarship support from ASCE-UESI, Ram presented a technical paper on Reliability Assessment of Corroded Water Distribution Networks during the conference. He co-authored the paper with his advisor Professor Yue Li, along with Prof. Bill Yu, and Prof. of Abdullahi Salman, who is faculty at  The University of Alabama in Huntsville and was a research associate at Case Western.
