The Department of Civil Engineering supports several engineering groups composed of both undergraduate and graduate students. These groups contribute to classroom studies through hands-on learning, professional and industry connections, community service, and personal enrichment.

CWRU Civil Engineering Graduate Student Association

The Civil Engineering Graduate Student Association is a student organization that promote the interactions among graduate students and provide liason between graduate students and department faculty.   The Association organizes activities such as seminars, professional development training,  picnic, etc.

Engineers without Borders

Engineers Without Borders™ - USA (EWB-USA) is a non-profit organization established in 2000. Its main aim is to assist developing areas worldwide with their engineering needs while at the same time training an internationally responsible engineering student.
