Congratulations to the Class of 2011

At this year's university commencement, the number of Civil Engineering alum at Case Western Reserve University increased by 30 - among the largest classes in recent history.

Eighteen students received B.S. Degree: Meghan Black, Margaret Dooley, Yuan Gao, Xu Guo, Marie Hansen, Samuel Kloss, Nicholas Kreps, Jingsi Lang, Brian Link, Vanessa Penner, Alex Potter-Weight, Kane Riggenbach, Janet Sauline, Mary Saunders, Peter Simko, Raana Suhail, Lin Wan, Wenjie Xia

Nine students received M.S. Degree: Aaron Colorito, Katherine Fromwiller, Rulan Hu, Emily Kowalsky, Yuru Li, Vincent Marvin, Christopher Notz, Nissar Suhail, Hao Yu

Three students received Ph.D. Degree: John Cleary, Bo Li, Yan Liu

Several students received special recognition for their outstanding work both in and out of the classroom with the following department awards. The Kenneth M. Haber Award - Marie Hansen and Yuan Gao; The Roy Harley Prize - Lin Wan and Katie Fromwiller; The Craig Miller Memorial Award - Wenjie Xia and Zhen Liu; The Allison Neff Prize - Alexandra Litofsky; the Richard and Opal Vanderhoof Award - Kane Riggenbach and Raana Suhail; ASCE Outstanding Senior Award - Brian Link;  ASCE G. Brooks Earnest Award - Mike Scancarello; ASCE Outstanding Junior Award - Joseph Hogen.
