Xiong (Bill) Yu, Opal J. and Richard A. Vanderhoof Professor and Chair, is named as the 2023 Civil Engineer of the Year by the Cleveland section of ASCE.  The award is recognized for his' significant contributions to the Civil Engineering profession with his efforts to achieve excellence in education, research, service, and leadership'.  At the award ceremony on Feb 23, 2023, Dr. Yu will give a lecture titled Intelligent Infrastructure: Empowering Civil Engineers to Build Resilient and Sustainable Communities.
