Case School of Engineering’s Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence degree program is designed according to the latest Association for Computing Machinery/Association for the Advancement of AI curriculum guidelines to ground you in the foundations and state-of-the-art in artificial intelligence. Plus, we aim to teach the professional and leadership skills that will help you excel in your career.
Artificial intelligence combines mathematics, computer science and social sciences to develop systems that perform tasks associated with intelligence, like reasoning, perceiving, planning and communicating.
Through Case Western Reserve University's program, you can pursue interests in knowledge representation and reasoning, planning and decision making, natural language processing, embodied AI and robotics, perception, computer vision, deep learning and agentic AI.
As a graduate of this program, you will be prepared to determine when an artificial intelligence is the right approach for solving a problem, identify appropriate representations and reasoning mechanisms, and evaluate them with respect to both performance and broader societal impact. You’ll also gain the skills to design and implement innovative, state-of-the-art AI systems.
Computing graduates typically have some of the highest starting salaries in engineering, entering a range of industries such as artificial intelligence, biomedical, financial services, chemicals, defense, consulting, transportation, manufacturing, and consumer goods.

Many of our courses have projects in which you use high performance computing resources. You’ll have ready access to the teaching laboratory facilities and are encouraged to use them during non-scheduled hours in addition to the regularly scheduled laboratory sessions.
