Wishing Dr. Tiwari all the possible success as she launches her own lab - BrIC 

(Brain Image Computing) within the Case School of Medicine.

Dr. Pallavi Tiwari has just begun as an assistant professor in the dept of biomedical engineering and will continue to focus on research relating to neuroimage informatics projects as she has been doing for the last 3 years.

Dr. Tiwari will soon be moving over to the Wolstein research building which is where the BrIC lab will be based and she will be accompanied by Prateek, Jhimli, and Niha.

Dr. Satish Viswanath from CCIPD awarded 3 year, $569K DOD new investigator award in rectal cancer

Congratulations to Dr. Satish Viswanath, research assistant professor in BME/Center for Computational Imaging and Personalized Diagnostics (CCIPD) who has been awarded a 3 year, $569,000 Department of Defense (DOD) new investigator grant for his proposal entitled "MRI-pathology correlation for image analytics based treatment outcome assessment and margin planning in rectal cancers".

As part of this award, Dr. Viswanath will be working to develop new image informatics tools for guiding interventions and assessing treatment response for rectal cancers using MRI.

Congrats also to Dr. Viswanath  for successfully bringing together multiple investigators from across multiple disciplines and institutions to work on this extremely important and translational project.

Congrats also to Jacob Antunes, whose preliminary results were a critical reason for success of this proposal.

Successful PhD thesis defense by 'Dr.' Shoshana Ginsberg

Shoshana successfully defended her PhD thesis yesterday. She is now officially CCIPD's first PhD graduate. Congratulations to her!
