3 Grants Awarded to CCIPD Members

A round of applause to Drs George Lee, Pallavi Tiwari, and Jon Whitney who were recent recipients of grants from the NIH and the Coulter Foundation respectively.
 
Dr. Lee just received a 3 year, $242,000 grant from the NIH for his project entitled "Big data convergence of pathology and omics for disease prognosis". This grant also called a K01 award is highly prestigious.

Also to Dr. Whitney was selected to be the recipient of a NIH NIDDK (National Institute of Diabetes, Digestive and Kidney Diseases) T32 fellowship. Under this fellowship Dr. Whitney will apply computational approaches to interrogate and understand benign urologic diseases in the prostate and bladder.
