The workshop is organized by Daniela Solomon, an engineering librarian at Kelvin Smith Library, and Dr. Ya-Ting Liao, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering with the support of a grant from UL (Underwriters Laboratories).
The goals of the workshop are 1) to promote and emphasize the importance of standards in engineering, in higher education, and in fundamental research, and, 2) to bring industry perspectives into college curricula. By doing so, we hope to cultivate next-generation workforce leaders for academia and industry.
