A state-of-the-art multi-million-dollar electrical engineering lab, the Sears Undergraduate Design Laboratory provides Case engineering students with an environment that will promote and encourage hands-on engineering and design.

The Design Lab offers a dedicated and experienced staff, a fully-stocked Component Inventory and printed circuit board service (completely free for EECS students), 24/7 access to state-of-the art test equipment, locked, personal storage space, and a comfortable student lounge and meeting area.

We also support undergraduate projects that interest the student(s).  If you have a project you would like to build on your own, please talk to us!  We fully support undergraduate projects and we will help you with purchasing parts, designing a PCB and ordering parts/PCB's for you.  With limited funds, we usually limit the student budget to about $100 per semester.  This service is provided to unsponsored undergraduate students only -  If you are a graduate student, we will need your advisor's PCard speed-type to order anything as you are already sponsored and are not covered under this program.
