CWRU Researchers Develop Wearable Sensor Technology to Help People Quit Smoking

A conversation between Dr. Ming-Chun Huang, a professor in EECS and Monica Webb Hopper of Case Comprehensive Cancer Center, led to a collaboration to develop technology-enhanced, personalized, mobile smoking-cessation system.   This smartphone app, initially limited to Android-based operating systems, automatically texts 20 to 120 second video messages to smokers when sensors detect specific arm and body motions associated with smoking.  Interested in finding out more, please find the full article here.
