CrystalE Team Awarded Prize at TransTech Energy Conference

Congratulations to the CWRU CrystalE team led by Professor Philip Feng with Ran Wei and Xuqian Zheng who were awarded the “Most Promising Commercializable Project” pitched at the 2017 TransTech Energy Business Development Conference The amount of the award is $2,500.

CrystalE produces innovative sensor nodes that can be employed in building management systems to detect information such as temperature and humidity. They rely on background vibrational energy for sensing and transmission so do not require batteries or other electrical connections.
