Ya-Ting Liao, assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the Case School of Engineering, was named one of five recipients of the 2020 Jack Watts Award for Outstanding Reviewer from the journal, Fire Technology, published by Springer Nature. The award recognizes the highest quality and most helpful reviewers, an essential component of the journal, and is presented annually to those whose reviews were most valuable in terms of the quality, in-depth, number and timeliness.

This year the award goes to five reviewers. Out of 350+ reviewers who helped the journal in 2019, the five recipients were selected based on the very high collective worth of the reviews provided to the journal.
