Case Western Reserve University’s Larry Sears and Sally Zlotnick Sears think[box] continues to gain national attention in the maker community: the seven-story campus innovation center was featured in a new book about the maker movement as a driver for economic development in cities.

Sears think[box] is particularly distinctive, according to the authors of Maker City: A Practical Guide for Reinventing Our Cities, because unlike many university-based makerspaces, it is open to the entire community.

The book is based on interviews with thought leaders at the forefront of the maker movement, including Case School of Engineering Associate Dean for Strategic Initiatives Lisa Camp.
