Me’lani Labat Joseph to speak on Women in STEM panel
Me’lani Labat Joseph, director of engineering at Case Western Reserve University’s Leonard Gelfand STEM Center, will be part of a panel of experts discussing issues for women in STEM at the Jewish Federation of Cleveland’s 71st Annual Meeting of the Community Relations Committee and Sidney Z. Vincent Memorial Lecture.
The event will be Tuesday, March 20, at 7 p.m. at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History. The lecture is free and open to the public. Register now.
Joseph, along with fellow panelists Noga Tal, head of global strategic initiatives at Microsoft for Startups, Israel, and Mor Karassin, director of Idan Technology, Israel, and moderator Kirsten Ellenbogen, president and CEO of the Great Lakes Science Center, will discuss how women access STEM education and careers in the field. They will address barriers women face, progress made and hopes for the future.
