Why did you choose this area of study?

I loved mechanical design programs like SolidWorks and AutoCAD and wanted to combine this with my love for biology and the human body!

What are your plans after graduation?

I accepted a full time offer with Procter & Gamble as a Research & Development Engineer after two successful internships with them!

Why did you choose CWRU?

The BME program featured outstanding researchers & all the students I met were so involved with the community!

What was your favorite class? And why?

My favorite class as been Beyond Silicon Valley: Growing Entrepreneurship in Transitioning Economies with Michael Goldberg and Tiffany McNamara where we talked so much about the growing entrepreneurship in BME/Healthcare in Cleveland. This class was an unique experience where we discussed entrepreneurship with leaders in CLE and Brazil! I also loved Computer Aided Manufacturing with Jason Bradshaw, who motivated our small, tight-knit class to grow and be creative! We CNC'ed mazes, designed darts, and even chocolate molds all while studying for 3 different design certifications!

What's your favorite thing about CWRU or your favorite memory?

My favorite CWRU memory is going to the fall 2022 homecoming game and cheering on our team! Everyone was so school spirited and invested in the game!

What's a piece of advice/encouragement you'd like to share with CSE students?

Make time to develop yourself outside of just going to classes—speak to professors about your passions, go to random CampusGroups events, take odd jobs, do internships and co-ops, ask advice, do hackathons/projects through clubs, explore ThinkBox, do your share in group projects, communicate your worth and be kind to everyone you meet in the process!

What activities were you involved in outside of class? Why did you get involved? What was your favorite part?

Pi Beta Phi where I served as the Vice President of Inclusion and Director of Diversity Equity and Inclusion which was my favorite because I created deep, reflective identity based programming for our members to explore their own identities and those of our chapter

Greek Community Educational Consulting where I led the Next Step Program which is a series of professional development events such as networking, mentorship and career preparation opportunities

CWRU Admissions interviewer where I interviewed over 50 students for undergraduate admission!

Spartan Ambassador where I hosted prospective CWRU Students!
