Engineering students, alumni chosen for NSF Graduate Research Fellowships
The National Science Foundation (NSF) named four current engineering students at Case Western Reserve University and five alumni to the Graduate Research Fellowship Program for 2019.
The program supports outstanding graduate students in science, technology, engineering and math pursuing master’s or doctoral degrees in the U.S.
Fellowship recipients include current students Vivian Zhou (Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science), Marina Yu (Department of Biomedical Engineering), Kathleen Young (Department of Biomedical Engineering) and Katherine Steinberg (Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering).
Alumni include Maria Vratsanos (Macromolecular Science and Engineering), Cara Smith (Biomedical Engineering), Brian Robb (Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering), Maya Monroe (Macromolecular Science and Engineering) and Jonathan McCandless (Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.)
Current students Jessica LaLonde (Materials Science and Engineering), Rebecca Haley (Biomedical Engineering) and Sarah Carney (Biomedical Engineering) received honorable mentions.
