Cash awards announced for winning hackers at first Cleveland Medical Hackathon
Nesco Resource will provide a series of cash awards to winning teams of the Cleveland Medical Hackathon, which will take place at the Global Center for Health Innovation in downtown Cleveland Sept. 26-27.
The Nesco Innovation Award will be granted to participating hackathon teams that excel in developing projects during the hackathon that bring together technology and health care expertise leading to out-of-the-box solutions. A panel of judges from health care, technology, government and community sectors will award the prizes.
The Nesco Resource Innovation Award will be given to winning hackathon teams. The first place team will receive a check for $3,000, a runner up will receive $1,500, and third place $500. Additional prizes sponsored by other organizations are expected to be announced as the event approaches.
Nesco Resource is the largest staffing firm with corporate headquarters located in Ohio. The company has strong roots in technology and engineering since it was established in 1956.
The Cleveland Medical Hackathon, the first event of its kind in Northeast Ohio, will take place September 26 and 27 at the Global Center for Health Innovation in downtown Cleveland. It will bring together some of the brightest minds in the tech and medical communities for a weekend of creativity and collaboration. Participants—including computer programmers, doctors, patient advocates and entrepreneurs—will be challenged to apply innovation and technology to problems facing health care.
