Attention undergrads: learn more about microscopy and more with SCSAM

Image analysis of crystal molecules

Case Western Reserve University’s Swagelok Center for Surface Analysis of Materials (SCSAM) is accepting applications for its undergraduate student program, which offers students a chance to get hands-on experience with characterization equipment and gain a better understanding of the link between materials structure and composition through research.
SCSAM has a range of highly sophisticated microscopes and characterization equipment available for student projects as part of the program. Projects can be class-based, related to research in faculty labs or undertaken as part of a co-op experience. All projects must be approved by a faculty or co-op advisor.

Please contact Amir Avishai, center director, for more information and to apply.
