2020 Wittke and Jackson Award Nominees Announced

Case Western Reserve University puts out an annual call for nominations of outstanding faculty and staff for the prestigious Carl F. Wittke Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching and for the J. Bruce Jackson, MD, Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Mentoring -- and Case School of Engineering undergrads and recent alumni responded. 

Of the 40 faculty nominated for the Wittke Award, seven represent the CSE; likewise, 50 faculty and staff were nominated for the Jackson award, of whom 10 represent CSE. They include:

J. Bruce Jackson, MD, Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Mentoring

  • Colin Drummond, Biomedical Engineering 

  • Christine Duval, Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering 

  • Michael-Jon Hore, Macromolecular Science & Engineering

The Wittke Award is open to any faculty member or instructor who has been the "instructor of record" for an undergraduate course during the 2019-2020 academic year. The Jackson Award is open to all current faculty and staff members. 

The 2020 Wittke and Jackson awards will be presented during the University’s Commencement Ceremony.
