Apply for Sears think[box] Student Project Fund

The Sears think[box] Student Project Fund has been renewed thanks to support from the Codrington Foundation, Fran and Jules Belkin and Brandon Palmer (CWR ’00). The fund will provide material support to students working on personal projects, team projects, design competitions, entrepreneurial activities and more.
 
Previous student projects include: Apollo Medical Devices – A novel blood tester that transformed a $2,500 project fund award into over $700,000 in funding; and Everykey – The wristband or pendant that unlocks your phone, car and websites.

Submit your abstract for Research ShowCASE 2016

Research ShowCASE 2016 will be held Friday, April 15, in the Veale Convocation, Recreation and Athletic Center.
 
Graduate students, post-docs, professional students, faculty and staff must submit their abstracts for Research ShowCASE by Monday, Feb. 29. Undergraduate submissions will be accepted from mid-February until March 18.

CWRU wins prestigious national award for campus internationalization

Case Western Reserve University has been selected to receive the prestigious Andrew Heiskell Award for Innovation in International Education, honoring the university’s innovative and successful programs in campus internationalization.
 
Created in 2001 by the Institute of International Education (IIE), the annual Heiskell Awards promote and honor the most outstanding initiatives being conducted in international higher education among its 1,400 member universities and colleges.

Hear from industry leaders at third annual Women in STEMM Panel Jan. 29

The third annual Women in STEMM Panel and Meet & Greet will be held Jan. 29 from noon to 1:30 p.m. in Nord Hall, Room 356.
 
The panel will feature six panelists who will address ways women and minorities can succeed in STEMM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics and medicine) careers and how we all can advocate for others.
