Cadence Tools in ECSE Courses

Cadence IC simulation and layout software is used by the following courses:

ECSE 526: Integrated Mixed-Signal Systems

ECSE 600: RFIC Design

Cadence Tools in Research

Cadence software is used by ECSE students and faculty at CWRU to simulate and design custom ICs for RF, analog, digital, and mixed-signal applications.

  • Low-power, wireless, and highly-integrated instrumentation systems for implantable biomedical applications (Chemical sensing, single-unit neural recording, pressure sensing, etc)
  • Wireless, RF battery recharging
  • High-voltage boost-mode circuitry for implantable stimulation systems
  • Ultra-wideband transceiver for low-power, high data rate wireless communication
