Previous research experiences
a. Researched solid polymer electrolytes for lithium batteries at the Adolphe Merkle Institute in Fribourg, Switzerland during summer 2017
- Synthesized a variety of block copolymers and performed electrochemical impedance spectroscopy to identify their lithium-ion transporting capabilities
- Interacted with international researchers from a variety of backgrounds and research interests in order to present work as well as receive diverse feedback
b. Researched in the Ishida group at Case Western Reserve University, synthesizing highly branched polymers for use in gold nanoparticle synthesis for use in imaging techniques
c. Worked for Biocore9 (orthopedic implant manufacturer) in Whippany, NJ
- Helped with writing and organizing 510(k) proposals for the company's products, primarily the temporomandibular joint replacement
Current project: Degradation of structural adhesives for use in automotive manufacturing
Research interests: Polymer science/engineering, polymer degradation, biomaterials
