“We investigate how to use computer algorithms to interrogate the radiographic and pathology images to tease out the features and backgrounds the human eye may not be able to visually appreciate,” Anant Madabhushi, PhD, F. Alex Nason Professor II of Biomedical Engineering and director of the Center for Computational Imaging and Personalized Diagnostics, said in an interview with The ASCO Post on the progress being made with Artificial Intelligence and machine learning approaches in the imaging arena.
