Madabhushi lab is now working with researchers from Perelman School of Medicine at University of Pennsylvania, Cleveland Clinic and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center to begin training computers to glean from pathology images, which patients will accept or reject a heart transplant.
Their team was recently awarded a four-year, $3.2 million National Institutes of Health (NIH) grant to pursue the project.
