Job Description
Joris supports technology development for research projects in the Department of Biomedical Engineering within the Cleveland FES and APT Centers, specifically in prosthetics and neuroprosthetics.
Key Job Functions
- Engineering development: software and hardware development for implantable and external electronics
- Project management: supervise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students and interact with commercial partners
- Research project planning: aids in the ongoing strategic and tactical planning for funded research projects and developing new reserach proposals
- Reporting to funding agencies: prepare quarterly and annual progress reports to NIH, DARPA, or other funding agencies
- Information dissemination: facilitate the publication of research and development results
