This presentation will discuss the Why, What and How of OSIsoft’s Academic and R&D program.

OSIsoft strongly feels there is a critical needed to demonstrate to the academic and R&D community how the power of a real-time multi-channel database platforms are being used to empower business in real-time within OSIsoft’s core process markets of power and utilities, oil and gas, chemical and petrochemical, pharmaceuticals and life sciences, materials. metals and mining, pulp and paper and critical facilities

Biography: 

Mike Mihuc role with OSIsoft, LLC for the past two years has been Market Principal for Academic and R&D.  He is responsible for engaging with the Academic and R&D community globally to donate OSIsoft’s product the PI server software along with the associate training and services for use by undergraduates, graduates, post graduates and faculty, for eight years prior to that he worked in various capacities associated with sales.

Prior to OSIsoft his career spanned various capacities which included field service, inside sales, training, marketing and field sales at GE, Westinghouse and Emerson.

His undergraduate degree is a BS in Engineering Mechanics from Penn State.  His Master’s degree is in Energy Resources from the University of Pittsburgh.

Pittsburgh has always been his home and passion.
