Strong Case Western Reserve Presence at the 2018 SPIE Medical Imaging conference in Houston

SPIE - The International Society of Optics and Photonics
The department of Biomedical Engineering at Case Western Reserve University was well represented at the 2018 SPIE Medical Imaging conference in Houston, TX in February 2018. There were twelve talks and poster presentations from Case Western students in the Center of Computational Imaging and Personalized Diagnostics (CCIPD). Hao Wu, a first year PhD student from David Wilson's lab won the Best Poster Award for his poster titled, "Simple Linear Iterative Clustering  Robust (SLICR) Processing for Fast, Robust CT Myocardial Blood Flow Quantification." Patrick Leo won the Best Paper of the Digital Pathology conference track titled, "Combination of Nuclear NF-kB/p65 Localization and Gland Morphological Features from Surgical Specimens Appears to be Predictive of Early Biochemical Recurrence in Prostate Cancer Patients." A good time was had by all, and many had their first introduction to Texas barbeque!
