2017 Doctoral Excellence Award

Congratulations to Biomedical Engineering's doctoral candidate, Prateek Prasanna for receiving the 2017 Doctoral Excellence Award.

Prasanna's research has focused on developing computational imaging tools for diagnosis, prognosis and treatment evaluation of brain tumors. He has been mentored by Professors Anant Madabhushi and Pallavi Tiwari in CWRU BME.

All Doctoral Excellence Award nominees are independently reviewed by a committee of the School of Medicine Graduate Program Directors representing all PhD programs.  This year’s committee was chaired by Hua Lou from the Department of Genetics & Genome Sciences.  

Recipients are recognized with a cash award, a certificate, and medal, as well as recognition at the Graduate Studies Awards ceremony and Commencement.

The ceremony will take place Wednesday, May 3rd at 3:30 pm in the Tinkham Veale University Ballroom.
