John Nottingham and John Spirk will deliver the keynote address at a formal dinner at the Intercontinental Hotel in downtown Cleveland that will celebrate engineering achievements and the positive impacts engineers have made on our society.

John Nottingham and John Spirk are Co-Presidents of Nottingham Spirk, a leading business innovation firm with nearly 1,000 commercialized patents. The Nottingham Spirk "Vertical Innovation" process has helped client/partner companies earn over $50 billion in combined sales.

John, John and their NS innovation team have created such award winning innovations as SpinBrush, the largest selling powered toothbrush line; Swiffer SweeperVac, the largest selling floor care appliance; Scott's Snap Spreader System; dozens of Dirt Devil / Hoover products, Sherwin-Williams Twist & Pour; CardioInsight EC Vue, first noninvasive heart mapping system (a technology originally developed at Case Western Reserve University); and HeathSpot, the first integrated, commercialized telemedicine/medical device system.

Nottingham Spirk has received numerous awards including the IDEA Gold Award, Edison Gold Awards, CLIO Awards, DuPont Packaging Gold Award, EDI Innovation Award, Brand Package of the Decade Award, CES Product of the Future Award, Nortech Innovation Awards, SIFE Champion Award, Ohio Patent Impact Award and the Society of Plastics Engineers Product of the Year Award.

John Nottingham and John Spirk received received their industrial design degrees from the Cleveland Institute of Art and both have received several honorary doctorate degrees. They serve on the Cleveland Clinic Board of Trustees, CWRU Technology Commercialization Visiting Committee, think[box] Advisory Board; boards of the Cleveland Institute of Art and University Circle Inc., as well as several private equity company boards of directors.

John and John, individually are the lead patent holders on hundreds of US and international patents and are both inductees of the Inside Business Hall of Fame. They have been featured on The Today Show, CNN, NBC Nightly News, Wall Street Journal, Fortune, Forbes, Japan Forbes, Bloomberg BusinessWeek, New York Times, Wired and Fast Company.
