Undesignated Master of Science Degree

No Limits

lab4At the Case School of Engineering a student doesn't need to limit him or herself to a master's degree in a specific area of engineering. Students working toward an undesignated Master of Science degree in engineering still do need to select a department, but their options are almost endless.

The student is responsible for submitting a program of study that must have the approval of the student's adviser and department head and the dean of engineering.

Minimum requirements include:

  • 9 credits of course work in the department approving the program
  • 18 credits of course work for the degree must be at the 400 level or higher
  • The student must meet all the requirements of the designated Master of Science degree in engineering
