LG255: Novel Affordable Automated Microscopy and 3D multi-domain mesh generation from Z-stack images and CT/MRI, with custom large-scale FEA on the desktop PC

Abstract: 
Presenting new technologies for automated microscopy and imaging with high performance and low cost; including rapid scanning of specimens, edge-based fast autofocus, mosaic tiling, and heuristic (smart) feature identification for pathologies and a number of applications. Our 3D printing methods and custom controllers enable novel designs that would have previously been prohibitively expensive. Also to be described are our new methods for Finite Element Analyses (FEA) with 3D image Z-stack processing, multi-domain meshing and discussion of relevant OpenCV/EMGU/FEA code-related issues.
