Job Description

Works closely with the various Division of Engineering Leadership and Professional Practice initiatives, including industry relations and student organizations. Serves as the financial manager for all programs within the division and tracks the monthly expenses and processes payments. Works closely with the assistant dean on forecasting, SPARTA and other budgetary needs. Manages the office on a daily basis. Recruits for students and employers at conferences.

Key Job Functions

  • Serves as the first point of contact for all students, faculty, employers and visitors
  • Provides administrative support for the co-op program, dual degree and global programs, student engagement and industry relations, student programs and activities
  • Responds to needs of students, faculty, corporate representatives and campus visitors
  • Manages the office on a daily basis, ordering supplies and taking care of the office logistics
  • Prepares and processes budgets, reconciles monthly statements, authorizes and processes expenditures, and performs budget analysis and forecasting with the Assistant Dean
  • Processes student applications and enters student information for the co-op program.
  • Provides direct support to the co-op director and program, including room reservations for classes, making purchases, printing class materials and marketing materials
  • Assists co-op employers in organizing interview schedules on campus and other arrangements
  • Assists in student and employer recruitment for co-op, Master’s of Engineering and Management and the Case School of Engineering by organizing events and attending conferences and career fairs
  • Provides support for student organizations and coordinates travel arrangements for conference and convention attendance.
  • Serves as the financial representative for student organizations
  • Prepares students for various professional conferences and advises students on their professional conduct.
  • Attends the annual National Society of Black Engineers convention to represent the Case School of Engineering
  • Assists with preparing engineering students for short-term experiences abroad
  • Develops and implements policies and procedures to facilitate managing calendar and scheduling for Nord Hall 356, Nord Hall 312K, and Nord Atrium tables
  • Coordinates with the school’s facilities staff to coordinate the use of Nord Hall for the many conferences, meetings, and events held in the building
  • Supports the Division of Engineering Leadership and Professional Practice assistant dean and staff with planning meetings with university and external representatives
  • Represents the division at select campus and corporate events
